Ch.5 Circulation

Approach
This is the firs phrase of the circulation system to go into the building/destination that we want to go. In this process, we can see, experience, smell, and feel  different things .In this case, this is spiral approach. We might see the entrance with different view during the approach.

Entrance
It is like a "hole" or an opening on the flat plane. It can be divided into three categories: flush, projected and recessed. An entrance could be in any shape or size , and even in different placement. In this case, we can see a big projected circle entrance is placed in the center of a shopping mall.

Configuration of the path
A path has a starting point which lead us to go through when are walking. It is affected by the organizational pattern of the spaces it links, in this case ,it is a spiral configuration. The spiral tunnel is a single, continuous path that leads us to go all the way up/ down to the destination.

Path-Space relationship
A path can be linked by different ways, for example: Pass by space, pass through spaces and terminate in a space. In my case, it is a terminate in a space. The path lead us directly to the most important part of the building.

Form of the circulation space
The circulation of space is refer to a space that makes the flow of the circulation path happen. It can be corridors, hallways, stairs, rooms or galleries. In my case, it is a corridor with an enclosed circulation space. It is a large space with open on one side. It has a wall place on a side but also has an open wall place( window) on the other side which provide a visual element in this space.
